Pan American Airways Adds Additional Flights to Puerto Rico Service

Second Daily Round Trips Will Connect Orlando Sanford, Florida With San Juan, Puerto Rico Beginning in May 2001

PORTSMOUTH, N.H.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 24, 2001--In response to market demand, Pan American Airways will add a second daily round trip flight between the Orlando Sanford International Airport and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Pan Am originally announced the Puerto Rico service in January. The schedule will begin on May 24, 2001, and the second flight will commence on May 30th.

The route will be operated as a part of a strategic relationship between Pan Am, Carlson Wagonlit Travel-Turavia's San Juan office and Expert Travel of Altamont Springs, Florida. The route partnership provides the opportunity to promote travel packages in conjunction with Pan Am's scheduled services.

Dave Fink, President of Pan Am, said, ``The combination of strong passenger interest in Pan Am and our Orlando Sanford facility as well as a great working relationship with Carlson Wagonlit and Expert Travel has made the San Juan market a success even before the first flight has taken off.''
